Complete Systems from Unbound Solar
Take the guesswork out of design & component selection with a complete system from Unbound Solar. All inverters and solar components have certain design parameters that must be adhered to in order to function properly, maintain factory warranties, and produce energy as expected. By choosing a complete system from Unbound solar, the heavy lifting of design and component compatibility and selection are taken care of for you. All complete systems from Unbound Solar provide the necessary solar equipment for a functional and well rounded system. Any system can be customized to your needs and application. If you don’t see your perfect system, we can design it for you.
General electrical supplies such as wire, conduit, sub-panels and fusible disconnects are not included. These component requirements can vary by region and application, and must be sourced for the site layout and for integration to existing electrical systems.
Independence(Whole-Home) Backup
An Enphase Essential(Partial) Backup system provides backup using IQ8 Series Microinverters and IQ Batteries during the day or night. The system must have at least 10 kWh of Batteries installed. Depending on the IQ Battery sizing, the system will be able to sustain off-grid operation for extended periods. This use case supports whole home backup i.e., backing up all the loads in the home. Note that the batteries must be sized correctly to supply the loads. IQ Load Controllers can be used to enable fine-grained control of backed-up loads.
NOTE: Enphase Backup systems are not intended for permanent off-grid applications. Installing an Enphase backup system for permanent off-grid use will lead to a poor experience or even system failure and is not supported by Enphase.
What Are the Benefits of Using Enphase?
Traditional grid tie systems use string inverters and when a panel is damaged or shaded, it affects the entire string, significantly reducing power output. Enphase Microinverters allow each panel to operate independently at their peak efficiency. If a panel is shaded or damaged it won’t affect the rest of the system. Microinverters also provide more design flexibility by allowing you to position modules on different facing roof pitches and in less ideal locations. Microinverter systems are easy to install and can be expanded with additional modules and microinverters. With Rapid System Shutdown (RSD) built-in, code compliance is a breeze.
Monitoring module-level and system-level production over the internet is easy and free with the included Enphase IQ Gateway. The Gateway can also be used for advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting by Enphase tech support in the event of a fault or issue.
