Senior Sales Technician
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the Senior Sales Tech will work closely with customers to design and sell solar electric systems and contribute to team goals. You will help provide our customers with the best customer experience possible by identifying the most appropriate solar solution based on the customers’ needs and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve company adaptability by developing competitive quotes, keeping an eye on sales/call trends and industry news
- Listen to and communicate professionally with customers via the phone (and occasionally in person) in order to understand their specific needs and motivations
- Identify appropriate solutions within the customer’s budget range and develop proposals for a variety of residential and commercial solar solutions, including complete full range of system solutions within Unbound’s product lineup
- Provide technical support when appropriate
- Perform all tasks around the sales process, including building and sending proposals, following up on leads, asking for commitments, scheduling phone meetings, and following up post-sale to ask for referrals and provide support
About you:
- You possess at least a high school diploma
- You have 3-5 years experience designing solar electric systems for residential and small commercial systems, off-grid, remote telecom, and grid-tie
- You have excellent computer skills to utilize our web-based applications
- You possess excellent communication skills – both written and oral
- You possess customer service phone skills and have the ability to handle rejection and then successfully approach the next opportunity
- You have the ability to close sales by possessing strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- You are self-motivated, quick thinker, problem solver and passionate for customer satisfaction
- You have a driving need to be thinking about the next call and the next sale
