Manager, Continuous Improvement & Reliability

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the VP of Technology, the Continuous Improvement Manager will collaborate with Unbound’s management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems and processes designed to accommodate the growth objectives of our organization.  They will ensure that business process outcomes and staff are in harmony with Unbound Solar’s strategic goals. The Manager will focus on the entire process from beginning to end, introducing innovation into the process that can impact results, enhance profitability and assist Unbound to meet its goals. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ISO 9001 Certification in 2021.  Perform internal ISO audits and serve as representative for ISO compliance audits
  • Project manage ERP implementation and define and implement new processes to optimize usage of ERP system
  • Responsible for developing, measuring, and reporting operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency and assess company strengths/weaknesses
  • Ensures that communication between departments is ongoing and utilized to maintain an environment of continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Responsible for implementation of new process templates and policies for procedures and change control
  • Works with each department to define and implement sets of best practices based on industry standards.  Coach and train team members on improvement tools and procedures
  • Responsible for projects involving company-wide introduction of new or updated processes,  including but not limited to, new technology, sales processes, packing methods, product lines, business lines, and acquisitions
  • Establish document control process
  • Drive company-wide initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness as measured by quality, lead time reduction, and customer satisfaction
  • Improve organization’s efficiency by decreasing process variation

About You:

  • You have worked for a minimum of 2 Years as a Process Manager or similar position
  • You are an ERP Super User
  • A Bachelor’s Degree, Lean/Six Sigma Certification or BPM Certification is preferred
  • You have a broad understanding of various business units including sales, operations, manufacturing, procurement, accounting, and customer service
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills
  • You possess multitasking capabilities and have the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • You excel in a collaborative teamwork and fast-moving environment
  • You have the ability to to travel to the main office and/or warehouse once a month for up to a week at a time.
