Description
Zephyr Power Vent
The Power Vent was designed for battery banks in remote home power systems to help expel built-up battery gases. Enclosed battery boxes need to be vented according to NEC requirements and the Power Vent was designed to help with the venting process. The Power Vent turns on when the batteries are charging to actively remove built-up hydrogen gas. The Power Vent has a damper to automatically seal when the system is not charging, to prevent back drafts and maintain more consistent temperatures in the battery bank.
The Power Vent uses very little power and is constructed with a durable, sparkless fan that has been tested to withstand harsh conditions. Using a power vent helps reduce odor caused by hydrogen gas and also helps keep your battery tops and terminals cleaner by exhausting the excess gas. The Power Vent is designed for typical home power systems with battery banks under 2,200 amp hours and charge rates under 150 DC amps. Larger systems can use multiple vent fans for higher volume.
