Material Handler / Distribution Clerk

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for fulfilling customer orders while
maintaining the highest level of inventory accuracy. You will be part of a warehouse team
ensuring all incoming material is properly received and all customer orders are correctly picked,
packed and completed as scheduled. Attention to detail is required to ensure orders delivered to
customers accurately and are packed to arrive without shipping damage. As part of a growing
company, you will learn about solar energy and be able to grow this the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare customer orders for shipping per the established processes
  • Load & unload trucks and receiving materials using the Warehouse Management
    System (WMS)
  • Utilize system documents (picklist, work orders, requisition) to verify correct materials
    are picked and issued to orders
  • Perform receiving, material movement and put-away tasks for incoming items
  • Complete storage function according to established processes and using WMS
  • Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and visitor traffic
  • Operate all material handling equipment – Forklift, pallet jack, etc., following all safety
    procedures
  • Properly use provided tools and equipment for opening incoming shipments and
    preparing outbound shipments, as trained
  • Conduct Inventory cycle counts and/or physical inventory

About You  

  • You possess a High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • You are willing and able to work in hot summer and cold winter conditions when
    loading/unloading trucks at dock doors
  • You can regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty
    pounds without assistance and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred
    pounds with assistance
  • You are able to read and apply information in work instruction, process documentation
    and safety information
  • You can accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
    whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • You possess beginner to intermediate computer skills
  • You have working knowledge of hand and power tool use
