Assembly Technician
At Unbound Solar, we pride ourselves in empowering customers to do solar their way. This includes assembling, programming, and testing pre-wired power centers to simplify the installation and commissioning process. In order to add capacity to meet our growing demand, we are seeking an Assembly Technician to join our power center build team in Mt Shasta, CA. Mechanical or construction experience is beneficial in this role.
Essential functions
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions
- Program system settings according to build configurations and programming instructions
- Conduct system verification testing and record the results
- Perform final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high quality products
- Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas
About you:
- You have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- You are familiar with using hand and power tools; to include drills, bandsaw, grinding wheel
- You possess basic computer skills
- You work well with others
- You are mechanically inclined
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and have a strong attention to detail
- This position requires some schematic reading skills, as you must follow the wiring diagrams and inspect your work for accuracy
- You can work in an environment where temperatures will vary and may not be able to be regulated
- You can regularly lift up to 10lbs, frequently lift up to 50lbs, occasionally lift an/or move more than 100lbs with assistance
